With the extended article information, additional information about an article (e. g. ingredients, allergens, general information, etc.) can be stored in the cloud, which can be called up via the order form in the app.
This feature is an extension of the standard functionality of the GASTROFIX POS-System. No further modules are required. This feature is active as of App version 2.15 and cannot be deactivated.
In order to be able to use item information, it has to be stored in the cloud under "Master Data" --> "Item" --> "Edit Item".
After the desired text has been added to the Info field, the article can be saved by pressing the "Save" button. In order to transfer the article information, the master data must then be loaded to the Gastrofix POS-System.
Access Information at Checkout
Article information can be accessed in two ways. Either via a short press (1.5 seconds) on the article button in the order screen,
or via the "Info" symbol in the PLU screen. After entering the PLU, you can tap on the "Info" symbol to display the item information. The "Info" icon is not available on iPods or iPhones due to the limited screen size.

Furthermore, it is also possible to obtain article information from external websites (e. g.: ERP systems). To access external websites, you only need to enter the URL in the article info field. In this example the info field links to the corresponding Wikipedia page of 7Up.
